Brian's Bits

It's TUFF at the top?

I've just looked it up - and found - "TOP TIP The Ponytail Palm stems store a lot of water, so don't worry if you forget to water it for a week or two (we won't tell on you). I had a sort of feeling ("if we remove the ceiling" {remember it}) that was the case; because, up there it frequently got overlooked.  To steal one of "Old Abbo's" sayings - "Promise me you'll BUCK UP!"
A further "look up" confirms my original "guess" that it is actually NOT a Palm at all.  "The ponytail palm (Beaucarnea recurvata) is a succulent in the Asparagaceae family, which also includes agave and asparagus. It's not a member of the Arecaceae family, which includes true palms."
