Chaffinch

The feeders were very quiet today, but a couple of goldfinches turned up just as the light was starting to go.  I went for the camera, and when I got back this chaffinch was on the ground picking up whatever was being dropped.  After I got some shots, I filled up the feeders.  The peanut feeders had to be emptied because the nuts had gone mouldy, and the niger feeder also needed to be emptied because the lower parts were wet and not flowing. I put out some spare peanut feeders, but there won't be any niger until tomorrow when the feeder should be dry after its scrub.
