Colourful

Please find enclosed herewith my annual Christmas photo of the Broadway Deli. It was by far the most cheerful sight I could find in the village on an otherwise wet and miserable day.

Having run a string of minor errands around the three counties that somehow managed to conclude right at the door of Leaf & Bean, we felt that we really ought to check if their cheese scones and coffee were still up to our required standard - which, happily, they were.

I then spent the rest of the afternoon scribbling increasingly illegible menu plans on a piece of A3 paper, and submitting an eye-watering on line grocery order. After which I dived head first into a small bucket of red wine, and floated around in an increasingly pleasant haze until it was empty.

Tomorrow I will mostly be feeling hung over.
