Winter Solstice

What a wild day and it's still going on - gales, rain, and the odd bit of sunshine. We braved the stone circle again for the day that's in it - and there were cosmic goings on aplenty. The sun was just setting, the wind was howling and it was sort of raining. The stone on the far right is the serious one - the recumbent,  where, technically, the winter sun should set on the Solstice. We didn't linger long but I hugged the largest stone (one of the portals) for Angelshare as requested.

Off to watch the last episode (in this block) Of 100 Years of Solitude - fabulous to look at, deeply strange and very well acted. I think I read the book about 50 years ago!

Sandy Denny seems appropriate today. Such an amazing voice but a such a  sad story. I have this weird memory that I came across Fairport Convention playing in a field, but I'm not entirely sure I trust that memory. Good god , Unhalfbricking, the album, was released 55 years ago!
