Beauty is all around us.

The Feast Day of Saint Peter Canisius, priest and Doctor of the Church.

Winter Solstice. The days are getting light.

Today has been enjoyable and busy. It is 6c but feels like 1c. The forecast suggests a rainy Christmas. What will be will be!
I have been mindful of the wind and rain and been doing the vacuuming and washing during the heavy rain, then when the sun came out I walked in the gusty wind to the Co op.
We have done all the food shopping and present shopping.
The presents need wrapping but there is no rush.
I have found some enjoyable Christian Christmas films of YouTube. My very favourite is The Christmas Candle and it is a profound film that I come back to every Christmas.
There are so many blessings to count while not being unaware of the need to pray for those who are suffering. ShelterBox and Cafod have pulled on my heartstrings this year, so I have donated to them. It is alarming how everything is escalating in cost which has had a knock on effect on the charities. That is why I feel disappointed and let down with the current result for the WASPI women. I pray for mercy and genuine respect for women and children and animals. If we had that vital pension money we could support ourselves and charities as led by our faith in God and the promptings of His Holy Spirit. God knows us forensically and all our hopes and good intentions. The trouble is Satan has invaded this Divine Plan with worldly distractions. Greed is an ugly sin. We need to be spiritually vigilant and repentant while the time is still available to consider our priorities. The Deceiver thrives on discord. Lost souls is not what I want to see.
I am still reading each day, a chapter of the Gospel of Saint Luke. Alongside that, I am reading a few other books including The Autobiography of Saint Gemma Galgani.
I have learnt so much from the lives of saints. Gratitude, prayerfulness, forgiveness, humility and devotion to Jesus are but some of the worthwhile gifts to treasure.
Take care everyone and keep safe in the difficult weathers.
Thank you for visiting my site today.
