Strasbourg and Colmar

Up early and jumped on the train to Strasbourg. Many carriages and completely full with some getting off and others getting on at Colmar. Spent a lovely day wandering around. It’s a very popular Christmas market and it did get a bit exhausting later in the day. Visited some lovely churches but the queue to get into the cathedral didn’t inspire me. I then took the train to Colmar - a very much recommended town and I was happy when I saw it was on my train route. A lovely old French town with beautiful buildings and streets. Much calmer and lovely to walk around in the evening. I attempted to get dinner but they forgot my order and I needed to get my train. Chips at the station sufficed.
I was glad to get back to my hotel around 930pm. 24,000 steps done! I was exhausted! Hot chocolate next to the fire in the lounge and then bed! A good day out!
