Foodie favourite

My latest adventure is to San Sebastián, Donostia…..the Basque Country city which has become so famous for its wonderful food.

We’ve just settled into our hotel and within a few yards, there’s a lovely greengrocers, two upmarket wine venues, a delightful delicatessen and a richly stocked fishmonger.

We have a few day trips to other local cities as well as our festive meals…..

…..and our pintxos of course……….

Edit: it's their celebration of St Thomas. Lots of people are dressed in Basque costumes and wandering around the old town and Christmas markets.  We had a venture into town (on a local bus) to get a flavour of what is going on.
