Christmas in Sunderland

Martin and I had a lovely early morning wander round the centre of Sunderland before heading back home. 

What we noticed about the city is that there is certainly a lot of redevelopment and refurbishment going on, especially, down by the riverside. This includes a spanking new City Hall, which looked rather good.

Now back home, and about to go out for a Christmas dinner at The Ship Inn with our friend Murdo, which will be lovely and festive.

After that, we are popping up the road to have a Christmas Scrabble afternoon with our friends Gemma, Matt and baby Clara.

A busy but lovely day for sure.
