Set foot
After an eventless, smooth crossing, early arrival at Harwich, but disembarking took forever with long, slow queue for Passport control. Nothing to do with Brexity issues as I was using UK passport to enter. Lovely ,friendly, chatty guy - I suspect with only two ferry arrivals per day, it's a good idea to strong things out a little.
Instead of taking the main (well, upgraded country track) from Harwich to Colchester then Ipswich, I took the meandering, narrow path-like back road along the River Stour estuary, stopping near Manningtree to simply enjoy for a few moments the quiet & the scenery that was causing me, unexpectedly, quite some emotion.
Continued up the crazily still not dual carriageway A140 from Ipswich to Norwich, stopping at a BP garage, mainly to get 1st coffee and bit of breakfast, but also took the opportunity to put a bit of a charge in the car, even if at a horrendous price. Then continued to Norwich, doing a full charge at Ionity Cringleford, at about half price of BP, but so as to not have to worry about it for next few busy days.
