Golden

Wanting some bright flowering plants for our balcony, we found it hard to go past Golden Everlasting, Bracteantha bracteata. 

Today is the summer solstice (for those of us in the southern hemisphere). In Brisbane, the exact moment when the southern hemisphere tilts most directly towards the sun is 7.19 pm - that is, about one hour from the time I'm writing.
