Friday!!

Today the kids mostly watched movies in their classrooms. I worked with a couple groups. We mainly were counting the hours down. A fun thing, though, was the high school orchestra came and played for about a half hour. Our school has band but no orchestra so it was really fun for the kids to see this aspect of music. Many years ago I played in this high school orchestra. I guess they have 3 different orchestras now, which is amazing. We just had one. I was impressed and the cellos were really good. For the last song they got one of our 6th graders up to conduct. She had never done it before but it was cute and the orchestra didn't really have to rely on her.
I'm going to make some cookies tonight and look forward to the Solstice tomorrow.
