G+T+Fire = Harmonious
Quite a full day today, but no photos. Ho hum, this EB will have to do.
First a trip to town. LN had broken her arm and Jan offered our services to get her tree decorated. It turned out there wasn’t a tree but surrounded by forest as we are that wasn’t a problem. We tied the newly felled Christmas tree on top of the car and drove into town.
There then followed the traditional hour of trying to get the tree firm, stable, and upright in a minimal tree stand. We all knew how to do it, if only the other three (fools) would listen to me!!!
Eventually they listened to me and we could start decorating the tree. An hour later, including coffee and cake, the tree looked really good.
The library was next on the list. No books were required but they serve an excellent buffét lunch so that solved both the breakfast and lunch problem.
We moved on and decided we needed some sliced ham and so dropped into Lidl. £100 pounds later we had our ham and a trolley full of food - who knew we needed all that?!
Back home it was already dark so we moved onto indoor stuff that eventually led to us sitting in front of the fire, G&T in hand, feeling harmonious.
