Jaume Plensa. WE

Yesterday we had lunch in the Honest Burger in ‘The Cut’. I had the burger with salad! So good!   Finished the meal with a hot chocolate in Costa.

Last night we made our way back to the hotel.  The tube arrived empty so we ended up sitting down!
Our hotel room was on the eighth floor and had a great view of the Shard! Wonderful at night with coloured lights!   Looking down we could see the Bankside sign! 

Today we visited Borough Market and found some lovely tea towels for a present! We did not buy food .  A Costa lunch and we made for London Bridge, not far from the bottom of the shard where we saw the above sculpture.  It is by Jaume Plensa.  

WE(2021) it is made from sculpted letters and characters from 7 different alphabets, representing the universality of being human and the cells of the body!  His first work in London for a public space! 

Home after our train was taken out of service as the  relief driver wasn’t there! But another arrived soon after! A quick wander round Letchworth and we called our son who collected us soon after! 

Fish and chip dinner and they are playing ‘pub quiz trivia! ‘. We will be having a game of cards!
