Veteran Funeral Escort

It stayed dry all day today, which was ok for the school walk and the pick up at 12:30 when they finished early for the Christmas break.
An hour later I was all togged up to go out on my bike to escort a funeral cortege. It was an old RAOC veteran and many people that I know would be there as he was a member of the Veterans Breakfast Club.
Rolled the bike out, helmet on, pulled away - just as the rain started!! It could have held off for a little longer but not to worry.
Met up with another Rider at the funeral directors and escorted the hearse for about 3 miles to the Coney Hill cemetery & crematorium.
It's something we do, and the families seem to like it.
