Madness

I made a couple of mistakes this afternoon. The first one was to go to Aldi to get some Stollen and Lebkuchen. I went across town and when I got there, mid-afternoon, the staff were struggling to replenish the stock on display. This image shows that a load of boxes fell off the trolley they were using to move them. I found what I was after, but it took a fair bit of ducking & diving & dodging around. 

A bigger mistake was trying to get home during the school run. Total gridlock across town. I thought I'd be smart and head out of town and circe around; that didn't work - it took more than 30 minutes to move 400 yards. In the end I popped onto the M20 and went along one junction to Leeds, our Leeds rather than the one in Yorkshire. In normal circumstances this would be a bonkers route, but today it was all that I could think of. On the upside, I have a tin of Quality Street as well as the German sweetmeats - that's a result.
