More books from my advent calendar
Some more good choices for me to plough through.
I can start the books now as I finished my current read whilst killing time at the hospital with mum. She was having her eyes checked as she has had really blurred vision and pain since they did some laser treatment to sort out her pressure.
It turns out she is a super special case as the laser treatment hadn’t worked so they are not going to finish the remaining treatments and will give her more drops instead. The pain and blurriness is starting to subside now so hopefully that will fully wear off soon.
And part of the reason she can’t see so well is the laser has had the unintended consequence of improving her eyesight which means she can see better without her glasses than with them on! Apparently that is super rare and the guy examining her said he was just back from a conference when someone reported an instance of that and he wondered if he would ever come across it.
It does mean her glasses are pretty useless but there is no point getting a new pair until they decide where her vision settles.
After the hospital we headed home to pick up Dad and pop out for a nice coffee and toasted sandwich and pick up mum’s new prescription.
Then it was home again to change the beds and pop some Christmas bedding on. I did some washing - although just a bit as the washing machine is leaking again! So I just got one load done. Let’s hope it is third time lucky with the plumber call out.
Then I cleaned the toaster and managed to get crumbs everywhere with a mismanaged shakeout so that little job turned into a big one as I decided I might as well clean all the kitchen surfaces and the floor since I had a mess to clean up anyway.
Then I manhandled a load of leaves into our garden bin ready for collection, and so that I have some room for some more hedge trimming.
Leo got his first two offers in from Uni so he was a happy chappy and he also got to do his first drive as a qualified driver as his insurance is all sorted now,
