Hang On!

What a blustery day - still warm but wild with it. The bees were barely clinging to the lavender spikes.

I spent the afternoon helping a neighbour set up her first TomTom (from Comet) which turned out to have a whole list of someone else's destinations in its memory! Second-hand! Comet did not even apologise and even suggested she'd put them in herself, when she'd had it less than an hour! Customer service - a big fat NIL!! She's getting her money back, of course and will go elsewhere (I have had good service from Halfords).

Just about the only plants in my garden that remain fairly still in this wind are my Red-Hot Pokers (Kniphofia) except these are a lemon yellow variety. There's a determined hoverfly clinging on - or maybe it's enjoying the ride.
