It's nearly Xmas

Sorted the muddle, made breakfast then walked Indie. Another dead deer on the heath, this time doe. No obvious cause looking at the body. I messaged DWT. This is the second dead deer that I've found in about 6 weeks, the first was a stag.
I made a snack for Mum's lunch.
Sarah arrived with a bunch of flowers & Xmas card for Mum & I. Harold, her dad was in the car. It was too cold for Mum to go out to the car to say hello, but it was lovely to see her.
Jane arrived so we headed off to the Moorland Hotel for lunch with Jeanette. We had a tasty lunch, we all went for starter & pud. I had mushroom aranchini with whipped brie & cranberry sauce followed by a cherry sundae. It was very yummy. The weather outside was very changeable, heavy sleet which settled for a while followed by brilliant sunshine. We chatted about our Barbados trip. Jane is going to put some suggestions together. It's going to be fun. Unfortunately Jane had a phonecall just as we finished our lunch to say her Mum had had a fall at home so I drove her home immediately. Neighbours had phoned for an ambulance at approx 3pm. It never arrived. Jane rang 999 again & was told there was a huge backlog. They got her in to bed, & she's sleeping.
Back to Mum's, made her dinner. She enjoyed the braised oxtail. I found the grapefruit knife that's been missing for weeks.
Home to Chudleigh.
Tonight I've put the decs on our forever home found Xmas tree.. Tomorrow the baubles go in the window with the candle arch. We'll that's the plan.
