Wizard in the Woods

Hooray, a cold, dry, sunny day so after a couple of washing loads and the briefest attempt at some housework, we took a walk around St Ives and enjoyed the proper winter day.  It was quiet in the Estate, just a handful of walkers like us.  We paused to enjoy the clear view across as far as Ingleborough and paused again to look in the tree covers to see how the newly planted sticks are faring - pretty good on the whole of the ones we looked in.

Back home there was time to take in the washing, make mince pies and prep the fish pie for dinner before the sun dipped.  Come on the shortest day then we can look forward to the light returning.
