Oasis

I’ve never wandered around Dr Neil’s garden at Duddingston Loch before. But I did today. What a cracking wee oasis of calm. Loved it. And on the way out I had a chat with the head gardener who, in a bizarre twist, recently bought some woodland next to Scobes and also taught Ruby spoon whittling using green wood from his woodland.

Home for a video chat with an old pal who has been struggling of late and has had to accept he has to sell his beloved car as he won’t be using it from here on in.

Then, much happier news, catching up with Ossian who has had a great day putting up fences and riding horses through the woods down in Duns.
