Ashridge Estate NT, Hertfordshire.

A little wander in the cold at the Ashridge Estate. I liked the welcome sign.

The extra is a winter view of the Bridgewater Monument.

This is a large estate, 5000 acres of woodland. Ashridge House is not a National Trust property, it is a management college.

There is a big development plan for the estate which involves 3 centres with carparking facilities. The estate is a popular spot for walking and bluebells in the spring. I has become increasingly popular, particularly since COVID. In addition there is extensive house building in the catchment area so better facilities are needed.
