Rocket Man

The newest beach vendor addition, ZihuaFlies. It is something called a flyboard. I'm sure this is inspired by the Ironman movies. Powered by a jet ski (not shown), the pilot can rise up to seven meters (the official website says experienced operators can get 15 meters in the air) over the waters of Playa La Ropa before settling softly back down into the water. The Facebook site advertises that you can fly like a bird, swim like a dolphin. I suspect it takes some skill, the instructor is certified after all, but the two times I have watched the rider has been very successful in going up and coming down without crashing into the sea. Maybe someday I will try it out for myself.
