I bought myself a photo printer back in April but so far have only printed up to A4 size. I've had frames sitting waiting for pictures for months and today I finally got round to producing my first large print. I had previously heard from friends how tricky it was to set up a photo printer to work well with specific paper, colour profiles etc. but actually, there was very little fiddling required in this case. I downloaded a profile for the printer and paper combination and, apart from setting the brightness and contrast adjustment in Lightroom, that's all that is required to produce colour prints that I am very happy with. Blip shows a print of the Gateshead Millennium Bridge, ready for mounting in a 30 x 40cm mount and 40 x 50cm frame.
