Ben and Sophia

Absolutely thrilled to meet these two today.

Ben is the son of my wonderful friend Josephine, aka Ninjashoe on Blipfoto. They live in the UK.

Josephine and I met over 30 years when we were both young backpackers in Australia. I ended up in the UK later on and we were then flatmates in London.
Thanks to blipping we’ve been able to see a lot of each other’s lives and families over the years.

Ben and Sophia are now doing their travelling around the world and ironically are in Christchurch for a while staying a mere 10 minutes away from our house!

So good to meet them, and feel like I’ve also had a connection with Josephine.
We haven’t seen each other in person for over 30 years but I really hope we do manage to meet up again eventually.
