Dent Chapel

This Victorian Gothic religious structure was built in 1883 on the grounds of the Charlotte Hall Military Academy (1794 - 1976.)
The school grounds have been converted to a Veterans’ Home, but the chapel and one of the original buildings remain. Across the street from the chapel is arguably the site of Maryland’s first hospital, Ye Coole Springs.
The Dent Chapel is now the home of St. Anne’s Anglican Catholic Church in Charlotte Hall.
It’s fun that I have a friend who went to high school dances at the Charlotte Hall Military Academy.
