Comma Butterfly on Marjoram

This single Comma stayed around on the marjoram for a long time this morning drinking up the nectar through its long straw like tongue. Photographing it provided a welcome interlude to my laundry/ household chores routine this morning. I finally made a start on clearing away dying perennials from the garden this afternoon. Only started I hasten to add as rain stopped play though it's stopped now so I could, if I was feeling more motivated, go back out. I've been taking part in the Big Butterfly Count. My total for this morning was:
