Blue Sky Thinking

Or maybe not ...... I don't do much thinking of any sort.

Today I have polished some small boxes, refined the top of the rather nice little lidded pot I did yesterday.

I also took SWMBO to the local vampire this morning - and had a half hour plus wait ... all down to what really causes the problems in the NHS - paperwork. Why does it take so much longer to get stuff done using computers rather than paper? 
After having to wait over 24 hours for computer request for an x-ray (that we watched being typed and sent) to arrive at the x-ray department before being able to phone up and make an appointment (it used to be handwritten by the GP, handed to you, you go to the hospital, wait a few minutes, be x-rayed and then phone the surgery 24 hours later for the result) I ahve spoken to several people within the NHS and they all say it is 'paperwork' that holds everything up...........To many managers creating their own wee empires to justify their existence.

After that we went into town to get fuel.
There were temporary light on the A71 ..... again.
They were there for 16 weeks while they put in a set of traffic lights and now they are back digging up the islands in the middle of the road.
4 vehicles and only 2 men .......... How does that work?

There was a quick shop to buy veggies and a couple of other things which we knew where going to be on special offers at only 15p so didn't buy them before.
