Roots

These photos and artifacts of my great grandparents, Linnie E. Clark Hanson and William Clark Hanson are among some that fill two old glass front dish cabinets here and remind me from whence I came.

For the Record,
This day came in cloudy with the sun making a valiant try to break through the clouds. Tides going out and so are we.

We went to Clark's Point , a spit of land that was the birthplace of my great grandmother's ancestors and my grandfather who was so small when born that he was tucked close to the big black stove. We picked low bush blueberries and looked for arrowheads and sea glass beside the Native American Picture Rocks ledges where Grampa Hanson posed in 1889 and I today . We scooped up enough blueberries for pancakes tomorrow morning and soaked in enough sea air and views to last us till tomorrow.
