Back to work
My post cataract eyes are still not quite up to driving the horse float so my neighbour Yvonne kindly drove Addie and me out to Orange today for a few more starts before retirement. That’s her trainer Peter running his eye over her. I’ve been breeding and racing horses for nearly 40 years with 55 wins and a lot of fun in that time but Addie is my last runner. We raced her great grandmother, her grandmother, mother and a couple of geldings in the family as well with considerable success, not only in the central west but a couple of Saturday wins in Sydney thrown in.
Anyway, a few more starts for Addie and then we can all ride into the sunset.
