Hoopers

This shop was an institution in Carlisle - and I imagine the sort of department store you could buy just about anything - but unfortunately it closed its doors for the last time a few months back.

There were rumours that they had managed to sell the building recently but it turned out that that it had been a mistake and fell through.

Hopefully a buyer will be found soon and another empty shop put to better use.

I like the retro font of the sign. You can tell by the sky that the weather has not improved and summer is apparently over.
