The Last Infusion
Len and I have been travelling to Birmingham once a month for over two years for him to take part in a medical trial testing a drug to combat Alzheimer's. Today was the last infusion, although we shall have to return a couple of times for safety checks.
We had an immensely useful conversation with the new doctor on how to proceed after this trial. Essentially, he has to put himself in the hands of the NHS who can prescribe medication that will tackle other problems. It's been very hard for him to acknowledge his condition. That, and to foster social contact.
When we arrived back home I discovered my book of smartphone photos taken over the last three months. A Google production. I'm rather pleased with it.
