Paddington Bear

A complete contrast to yesterday for this mornings entertainment. After the bawdiness of the Adult Panto last night, we went to see the film “Paddington in Peru” this morning. We’d wanted to see this when it came out, but never found the time. We were heading up to Penrith anyway today and I spotted that it was being shown on the big screen at Rheged at 10.30. Not the usual time to see a film but it fitted in with our plans. And it was almost a private screening. Apart from a row of young children and their teachers at the back, there were only 4 other people in the place - me and Mrs C plus two others who randomly sat right up in the top corner. We sat dead centre of the auditorium for a perfect view! It was an enjoyable film - plenty of humour, a strong message about the importance of family and a few gags squarely aimed at adults of a certain age!
After that, we treated ourselves to lunch at Tim Hortons before heading into Penrith to do some shopping. Specifically, a visit to Cranstons Food Hall to get some goodies for this week’s evening meals.
In anticipation of what I was going to be consuming, I thought I’d better go to the gym as soon as I got home - pre-burning calories, as it were!
Not sure I was entirely successful in that respect though - I’m sitting here feeling quite full now!
