Dînant saxophones

Dînant was thé birth place of Adolphe Sax, the inventor of the saxophone. There are many saxophones around to commemorate this and these were on one of the bridges. Beautiful village to visit along the Meuse River.

We walked up to the citadel and learned all about the history of the village including the atrocities in August 1914.

Visited the saxophone museum, Mr Sax’s house, and walked along the river bank. Popped back out again this evening to see the Christmas lights.
