Sunflowers
Seen in a shop window. I rather like how the flowers are standing in a Newcastle Brown Ale bottle. The beer is iconic in our region. It was first made locally in the 1920's and is immediately recognisable because of the label on the bottle (blue star with a silhouette of the Tyne Bridge). It used to made just a stones throw from St James' Park (Newcastle United's home ground) but is now brewed in Tadcaster, the Netherlands and there is even a version of it brewed in Chicago.
I have to admit that I have never tasted it. I imagined it to be a strong beer but apparently it has a volume of 4.7% and is considered a lighter beer. I guess it also depends on how many pints of it people drink as to what effect it will have on them.
