Smoky Falls Lodge
..and Moonshine Grill.
Reconstructing this day from photos taken, we drove into Waynesville for breakfast before driving back through Maggie Valley and over the pass to Cherokee. It's hard to know what to say about Cherokee without sounding uncharitable, but it's a Native American reserve with the attendant enormous casino / hotel complex and mainstreet replete with shops selling cheap t-shirts and associated tack. Mainstreet reminded me a bit of certain streets in Scottish towns and their tartan tat shops. Not uplifting.
More successful was our char-grilled meal at the Moonshine Grill, although only after we sent Mrs BrB's prawns back to finish cooking. The root beer was excellent though.
This is no way to post blips - it's over a month since I took this photo and I'm long since home. A very late back-blip, posted on 29th July.
