Trapped in a Christmas bauble!

I don't enjoy shopping but I am fascinated by people rushing round the shops like stressed lemmings. I want to yell 'Stop! Is this what you really want? Are you letting yourself be manipulated by advertising and happy family Christmas movies and soaps?'

I'm not a grinch but I dislike the ever increasing commercialisation of Christmas. So many people buy far more than they can afford and much of it ends up in the bin. Why not give your time, support and friendship instead of unwanted 'things'?
