Pohutukawa trees are iconic around New Zealands coast line.  They bloom in early summer and the scarlet flowers against a blue sky and ocean yell summer.  This one is planted in the front garden of No 6 in my street. There are birds diving in and out and bees but of course I couldn't get either in my shot.
