We have a Polar bear in the garden, down the road
….so I went out and took his photo!
Certainly brightens up the place.
Busy day today, which included a trip to the hospital late afternoon for my 6 week Post Op check up with the Consultant who performed the procedure.
Hardly seems possible.
All is well. He was very pleased with my whole range of movements,
I am now cleared to drive! But until I feel confident I will not be beginning just yet.
Both my sister and I, she was living in London at the time with her hubby and young boys, started driving lessons after our mum had a bad heart attack in the early 1980’s.
It meant both of us could just get into a car at short notice to drive up to North Lancashire. So I cut my teeth as it were on the M6, M62 and M66 fairly regularly after that, as she never really regained her health.
As dad became older more frequent visits for longer stays became the norm.
So much easier to get to where he lived as otherwise it would have meant a train to Birmingham, then to Manchester Piccadilly followed by a 40-45 minute Limited stop bus up to Rawtenstall. Flowed by a long slog up a very steep hill to the estate where he lived!
How much easier to pile stuff in a car and set off!
Following the hospital visit, we came home via our local shopping area to call in at M&S to collect an order and to get some bits and pieces of shopping,
Now settled down to watch our usual “ Quiz Night” on TV.
So good to feel more like myself once more!
