Home to Xena!
We arrived home this morning after a long flight - Ho Chi Minh City to Singapore, where we had only 45 minutes to transfer to our next flight from Singapore to London. The transfer was tight but doable as Singapore airport is so efficient.
I slept well on the plane but because of the time difference when I woke up at 6am Vietnam time, it was actually only 11pm UK time - so I have been awake since then and am now feeling pretty shattered.
When we got home the house was spick and span, Fiona is an excellent house sitter and looks after Xena so well too, we are so lucky to have her to help us in this regard. I got photos and videos of Xena every day.
Xena was out on a walk with Fiona, so I quickly unpacked, showered, did a few loads of laundry, and opened all the post including some Christmas present deliveries - the usual post holiday settling in back at home. However added to this I had to go fetch my car. It went for a service and MOT on the day before we went away and it needed new parts to pass the MOT, so I could not collect it that day. They kept it while we were away and fitted the new parts. My car is now 7 years old but in immaculate condition, having only done around 16,000 miles yet it is costing so much at every service we may consider selling it next year.
I was very excited to see Xena again, and here she is looking sweet. She loves Fiona's dog and will miss him so much now that he is gone.
I also put up the christmas tree today, rather late but better late than never. It was delivered yesterday so should be nice and fresh still for Christmas.
It has been crazy busy all day. Now I need to make supper as I have camera club tonight. I did consider not going as I am not sure I will be able to stay awake, as I am still on Vietnam time so it will be 3am for me. However it's the last meeting of the year and I need to go collect all my prints that were in various competitions.
