Grumpy Old Man

A local walk

When I looked out of the window this morning I could have sworn that I spotted a very brief flash of sunlight, but maybe I was mistaken. It's been another gloomy day, though not as wet and windy as it was yesterday.

Carried on with my London walks, this time with Little Venice and the Paddington Basin. It was a gorgeous day in September last year and I ended up in Regent's Park. I'd already written up the route and spent some time looking up info about the many places I passed.

After lunch I went for a walk around the streets, going up towards the Hydro, but it was very muddy so I cut through the private garden nearby - I have been given permission! My Blip today is of the little pond in the garden - a lovely spot. I could live there!

I cut through another friend's garden, tapping very gently on the door, not wanting to disturb them as they might have been napping. Coming down the steps from the garden I took a picture of McCaig's Tower from the opposites side to that usually seen - my extra today.

Quote of the Day: ' I get a bit gloomy when it's gloomy.' - Catherine Zeta-Jones.
