This morning. The view from the Burleigh Bridge looking upstream towards “The Ned”, a mountain in the Wither Hills. As can be seen, the braided riverbed is bone dry. Rain and thunderstorms are predicted for today. The Met Service was right. We had thunder and heavy rain at lunchtime. A break and sunshine for the afternoon. That was fortunate because the Early Childhood Centres were celebrating 50 years of service with a big gathering in Seymour Square. . … Two Time Capsules were dug up after 25 years underground. They were very large and full of interesting mementos from that time. Then this evening we have had thunderstorms and more heavy rain. Yay! Such welcome rain..
