The Smartest Giant in Town
O woke around 7 and there was lots of play before having a bath and getting ready to go up to London.
He loved going on the train. We stopped at a coffee shop so he could have a cheese and ham croissant, crisps and a drink. Then onto the theatre to watch the show based on a Julia Donaldson book, her of The Gruffalo fame. It was under an hour performance and they did it brilliantly. O was enthralled and it was only the last 5-10 minutes he was asking when it finished. Highly recommend for children.
We then headed to a Bella Italia for a late lunch…. I wished we had gone to pizza express opposite lol. After, we strolled to Covent Garden to see the tree but it was absolutely heaving. We also timed it as the snow machine came on. We had a quick walk around, not pleasant pushing through crowds with a toddler, and then headed to the train station that was also very busy. Somebody kindly let me sit down with him and it was too long before he crashed out on me. We had to change at Earls Court and I was convinced he would wake up as I stood up but no! So I had to carry him to the other platform and once again someone gave me their seat. Half way home I felt a warm, wet sensation on my lap which also woke O up too. Bless him (we did go to the loo at the restaurant). Anyway, he stayed awake from then and I changed him once we were back at the car. We drove him home arriving about 6.
We had a lovely day with wonderful memories made.
(Finally, up to date with blip!)
