Fish head

In my theme of new things I have done I am adding this rather lonely head.

A couple of friends in the pub had been out fishing and offered me a trout. Normally I would say no thanks I have something for tea or another lame excuse. This time I said yes and found myself the proud and somewhat confused owner of a fresh trout. On getting it home I had to figure out the gutting and cooking. The internet made the latter easy. The gutting was logical and not much of an issue. One lucky gull loved my handywork the following morning.

I thought I should record the event and this was months before I had even heard of blipping. The trout may not have been pleased but even after death it looked impressive. Cooked with balsamic oil and herbs and sprinkled with almonds it was a tasty meal with some potatoes and salad.
