A Day To Expect The Unexpected To Happen!
And it certainly did! When I arrived at the location in the mall where the handbells would be playing to take pictures during their practice, I found out that one of the handbell players had become ill on Saturday and the director had already called in a sub, so I didn't have to deal with that and singing in the choir and taking pictures. And there was no one sitting in the congregation where I felt that I could ask them to take pictures of the choir, so there are no photos from the choir performance or the short talk at the end in which Pastor Wes reminded us that the Jewish leaders knew all the prophecies about the coming Messiah, but they failed to recognize Jesus as the fulfillment of all those prophecies. He cautioned us against doing the same thing----knowing about Jesus without really knowing Him as our Lord and Savior. After church, we, along with Caleb, had been invited to have lunch with our daughter and son-in-law, including his mom and step-dad. I managed to get a family picture. My grandson smiled at the camera for the first one, but was not interested in participating fully in the second one which worked out for my blip! My daughter made him his first Advent calendar----I thought it was cute and clever. I would encourage you to watch the Live-stream and enjoy the music......
