That Will Do!

King's College Choir

For Mr Flum's birthday treat we attended the concert at the Usher Hall given by the choir of King's College Cambridge, conducted by Daniel Hyde, with Harrison Cole at the organ. The programme included several pieces we knew by name but in different arrangements, plus a few we could have joined in - but who would dare sully those pure treble voices! Bliss. Apart, that is, for the woman who, with few exceptions, coughed persistently throughout the entire show.

This is the view from my seat in the 'Gods' - Upper Circle, that is, with its hard seats and little legroom.

This morning we held our Nativity Service, with its usual multiple characters (extra photo) followed by singing carols in Nicolson Square with a band from the Salvation Army.

Now home to relax with a nice cuppa.
