Butterfly House work day
Today was the last workday in the Butterfly House this year. I say workday, but really we didn’t get much done at all apart from moving a bit of furniture about.
It was more about all getting together for a brew and a mince pie and celebrating a good year. Some nice recyclable crackers from the RSPB complete with cheesy bird jokes which went down well(or not!).
Q. What do you call a bird that’s out of breath?
A. A puffin
Q. What type of bird works on a building site?
A. A crane
Q. What is a bird’s favourite film?
A. Parrots of the Caribbean
For lunch we met my Mum, brother and niece for lunch at Pesto courtesy of my eldest niece who left a gift card for us as a thank you for taking care of her whilst she has been here from NZ for the past six months. She’s now back home in Invercargill for a few weeks before returning mid-Jan to continue her job in HR in London.
