Out and About

Bowes Museum

Took A on a belated birthday trip to the Bowes Museum in Barnard Castle.  A good weekend to visit because the winter Christmas market was on as well as a special exhibition of Northern industrial life by  L S Lowry and Norman Cornish. I'd not heard of Cornish who painted his life as a miner in Spennymoor,  County Durham.
I was pleased to see the silver swan had been repaired since my last visit but today it was not working because of the market.
Came home, with cheese, chutney, sausage rolls and fancy cheese crackers. A, more Lowry and the museum building in extras
