Tree down on wires

Posting for yesterday on the morning of the 15th because this tree came down on the wires not far down the road from us and caused a power outage yesterday. It happened early in the morning and the power was out until after supper. Thankful for all the BC hydro workers who do the job in all weather conditions. It was very windy yesterday, over 200,000 customers lost power. I didn't go for a walk.
G started up the generator so we had water and could plug the fridge in. The generator is outside and G runs a heavy duty extension cord into the house. We can keep the fridge and tv plugged in but only one small appliance at a time, so thank goodness we can at least have morning coffee. Lucky we had some roasted pepper and tomato soup in the pantry, so I heated it on the wood stove, so it was Sunday Soup on Saturday!
