Cracks in the walls (DS432)
Not looking good for this old building?
A follow up from my blip of last week - I took advantage of the steps up to what I'm assuming will be a garden/drive/turning space for the new building(s)
Last week
Just as the work began
I did manage to find the planning application on the local council's web site - the building in the photo is Fairfield House. If I have understood the planning info properly, the wall with the cracks will be rebuilt, a new roof and extensive other changes will be made, along with a new building as a holiday let.
The documents include this wonderful piece of understatement : the site is in desperate requirement of development to bring it up to a visual standard of development which does not detract from the area, as it presently does.
Our Christmas cards made it to the post box this afternoon and our tree came down from the loft. Wrapping of Gill's gifts went well - but mostly because I used the fabric bags she made a couple of Christmases back. :-)
