Girls!
Amelia's school/skate friend, Mia, stayed over last night. A lovely girl. This is how different Amelia and Lucy are. Amelia is quiet and likes doing quiet things with Mia - hair and make up and playing with the guinea pigs.
Lucy is a different story, she likes a bit of rough and tumble with Mia and Mia enjoys it too as she has no siblings - yet. She will have a baby brother soon.
I left Gartcosh at 11.30 and got the train to Glasgow.
My train wasn't till 14.40 so I had a wander round Glasgow. I have to say I found it quite depressing.
The divide between the 'Have's and the 'Have nothing at all' is so visible, especially in cities.
So many homeless people on the streets and many people with shopping bags overflowing with plastic stuff. Such a waste when some can't afford to eat.
One guy was crying while a kind man gave him
sandwiches and crisps and a drink. We don't know what has happened in their lives. On the other hand though I kept seeing people sitting on the pavement at various places with the same sign written on cardboard - Please Help Me Raise £16 for a bed tonight. About four of them each with a little dog looking so fed up. I don't want to judge but who are genuinely homeless? I do donate if I think they look genuine but how would I know?
Anyway I arrived back in Hellifield at 18.10 and before the doors opened I could hear Bella yelping with excitement. She knew I would be emerging through those doors.
Update: I couldn’t post this last night as my photo wouldn’t upload.
